Aunt Tylynn comes to our house

Aunt Tylynn came home with us from Thatcher. Wow, what a big helper she has been! I'm sure she loves it, because at her house she IS the baby, and at our house, she IS the big sister! She and the girls have been making crafts nonstop. It has been fun to get to know my little sister better. Aubrey loves to see herself in the camera screen. Silly girl. She's my crazy hair woman. Sweet Savannah poses for the camera while making her crafts. Baby boy learned how to sit up. Isn't he so fat and cute and luscious? I must say indeed he is. He'll be six months in 4 days.

Fun in Thatcher

This past weekend the kids and I went to good old Thatcher to spend some time with the family and go to the Pioneer Celebration. The Celebration was kind of a bummer because it rained cats and dogs and they had to cancel the parade and program. So I don't have any pictures of it! But we did have fun still! We went to Jerry's as a family and then we did get to see the firework show! WE had great seats! The fireworks were RIGHT ABOVE US! It was SO LOUD. I felt like I was in a war zone. The girls loved it...Baby Malin slept through the whole thing! Our Daddy was gone on a surfing trip with the Teachers Quorum from our previous ward in Tempe. That will be posting soon.........Read on about other adventures in Thatcher.
We visited our grandpa Innes at the Safford Nursing Home. He has had Parkinsons for 20 years and alzheimers for a few years. He was just recently put in the nursing home. It was very hard to do but it is the best for Grandpa and the family. He was the mayor of Thatcher for 25 years, and owned Innes Associates, family insurance company. While we were there, he said he was trying to sell life insurance to his roommate,Maurice Cooper. Too funny! We had fun telling him jokes, singing him songs, and He LOVED the chocolate shake we brought him. Savannah and Aubrey really warmed up to him. It's sad to think that this is the only way they will remember their great grandpa Innes here on this earth. He has high spirits. WE love you Grandpa Innes I had fun redecorating my sisters rooms. Above is Jillian's room It is lime green with pink, blue, and lime green polka dots on the walls. It turned out really cute. Jillian is ECSTATIC to finally have her own room! And i love decorating! Grandma had a great time with her grandkids while The girls and I redecorated the room.
This Leisel's room but it's not entirely done yet. She has one dark chocolate brown wall and the other colors are tan. She matched the colors from her bedspread. Home Depot did a color match, so they are the EXACT same colors as her bedspread. NOtice the top is not all the way painted. The crown molding still has to be put up......dad is in charge of that. Leisel still needs to decorate it. She is going to blowup some pictures of her doing gymastics to put above her bed. She got a free photo shoot in her gymanstics outfit doing certain moves, like the splits, needle, etc. and they are blown up life size and put in the gym where she teaches gymnastics. She was also jsut made captain of the Spirit Line!

I am Grateful

I am here at home and I just have to write down how much I love my family! Life is good! We now live in Maricopa, AZ and we are thrilled our first home we've ever owned! I love my children and I could n't ask for a better husband. What a beautiful world we live in. How blessed we are to have our freedom! I'm thankful for the opportunity that I have to be a mother. that I can stay home and be their mommy. I love my part time job which is teaching piano. I have a baby grand piano and I now have 14 students! I charge $50 a month, a person for 30 minute lesson once a week. Good side income if I do say so myself. I have students from all over the world!!New York, Ohio, Phillipines, Cali, and good old AZ. It's a great culture learning experience. Here is a picture of all the students at my last recital in May. I have gained 9 more students since then. wow!!

Lewis Sisters Retreat

Janae, Colleen, Kelsey, and Grandma Nelson acted out the play from Little Women. You've seen it? Well This was hilarious! We also had fun making crafts, going to the temple, eating, we had mini classes on nutrition given by Colleen, which was great, and swimming. We also played fun games by Kelsey, did an 80's exercise routine put on by Janae and Julianne, and we had a lesson by Carolyn about making our home a temple. Carolyn was in charge of our retreat and the theme was "Only the home can compare to the temple in holiness". It was a great uplifint week with great uplifting people, my Lewis Sisters!
